FITREP
Challenge
I have joined the FITREP team since December 2017. At that time, the team had already spent about a year on developing its mobile apps, but the product owners weren’t happy with the products. I lead the user experience design for the native Android and iOS applications, work alongside the product manager, copywriter, QA Analyst and work closely with other stakeholders including the team of engineers who built the final products.
Goal
We needed to simplify user’s experience, keep the core features as simple as possible, and improve the existing UI design using modern best practices.
Solution
FITREP allows users to browse for a list of nearest available trainers sorted by distance, book a training session with their selected personal trainer, choose any style of training they want, and workout at a time and place that works for them and their schedule. Moreover, the app could be useful for fitness instructors as a tool for managing clients. The specific feature of FITREP is an in-app payment for a session. Following a beta launch in April 2018, FITREP’s services and mobile apps officially launched in Toronto in July 2018.
